SD Style Arrow Segment Compatible with Werkmaster Grinders

This SD Style Arrow Grinding Shoes is engineered for professional concrete floor grinding and surface preparation. Compatible with WerkMaster® floor grinders, these metal bond grinding shoes feature a full-length diamond segment that provides fast material removal, excellent grinding efficiency, and extended tool life.

HD Style vs. SD Style

HD Style: Designed for heavier WerkMaster® floor grinders and demanding grinding applications.

SD Style: Designed for lighter WerkMaster® grinders used in residential and light commercial projects.

This product is the SD Style version and is compatible with WerkMaster® grinders that use the SD tooling system.

Our metal diamond grinding tools are available in a comprehensive range of grit sizes to support every stage of concrete floor preparation, grinding, and polishing. Available grit options include 6#, 16/20#, 16#, 20#, 30#, 30/40#, 50#, 60/80#, 60#, 70#, 80/100#, 80#, 100#, 100/120#, 120#, 150#, and 200#.

The grit number indicates the size of the diamond particles and directly affects the tool’s cutting speed, scratch pattern, and surface finish.

  • Coarse grits (6#–30#) are highly aggressive and designed for rapid material removal, including concrete leveling, lippage removal, heavy stock removal, and opening the concrete surface.
  • Medium grits (50#–80#) provide a balance between cutting efficiency and surface refinement, making them ideal for general concrete grinding and floor preparation before polishing.
  • Fine grits (100#–200#) produce a smoother, more uniform scratch pattern and are typically used for the final stages of metal grinding before transitioning to resin polishing pads.

Choosing the correct grit helps maximize grinding efficiency, extend tool life, and achieve the desired concrete surface profile. Whether your application involves coating removal, concrete grinding, floor restoration, surface preparation, or polishing, our wide range of grit options allows you to select the right tool for every stage of the project.

Bond Options (Based on Hardness)

Choosing the right bond is critical for optimizing your grinding outcomes. It also helps extend the lifespan of your concrete floor grinding tool. This item offers various bond options tailored to different surface hardness levels.

Like PCD diamond tooling, arrow segment tooling is available in both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation directions. Please select the correct rotation direction according to the rotation of your grinder’s tooling plate, as shown in the illustration below.

Packaging

Order of SD Style Arrow Grinding Shoes is carefully packaged to ensure maximum protection during storage and transportation. Each set includes 9 pieces, securely packed in a durable brown carton to minimize the risk of damage during shipping. If duties are required, the courier company will contact you directly and assist with the payment and processing.
  3. How to measure concrete floor hardness?
Rebound test for PSI hardnessA rebound test (Schmidt Hammer test) is a quick, non-destructive method to estimate the compressive strength (PSI) and surface hardness of a concrete floor.
Scratch test for Mohs scaleThe Mohs hardness test measures how resistant concrete is to scratching by using tools with known hardness levels. A test pick is dragged across the concrete surface, and the scratch is inspected. The highest-numbered pick that can scratch the surface represents the concrete’s surface hardness. Mohs scale ranges from 1 (soft) to 10 (hard).
