The 4” and 5” Copper Hybrid Polishing Pad is designed for professional concrete and terrazzo floor polishing. It is primarily used after metal bond diamond grinding to refine the surface and remove scratches left by metal grinding tools before moving to finer polishing stages.
The copper hybrid formulation combines effective cutting performance with a finer scratch pattern, making these pads an excellent transitional diamond tool between metal grinding and resin polishing.
Available in 30, 50, 100, 200, and 400 grit, with dry use recommended.

Ideal Transition After Metal Grinding
Metal bond diamond tools are highly effective for grinding concrete, but they can leave relatively deep scratches on the floor.
Moving directly from metal tooling to resin polishing pads may make these scratches more difficult and time-consuming to remove.
Copper Hybrid Polishing Pads provide an intermediate step:
Metal Grinding → Copper Hybrid → Resin Polishing
The copper hybrid bond provides more cutting power than conventional resin pads while producing a finer scratch pattern than metal grinding tools. This helps bridge the gap between the grinding and polishing stages and prepares the floor for subsequent resin polishing.
Available Grits: 30–400
Choose the appropriate grit according to the condition of the floor and the previous grinding step:
30 Grit – Aggressive transitional grinding and removal of deeper metal scratches.
50 Grit – Further refines scratches while maintaining good cutting performance.
100 Grit – Produces a finer and more uniform surface.
200 Grit – Further refines the scratch pattern in preparation for polishing.
400 Grit – Creates a finer finish before transitioning to higher-grit resin diamond polishing tools.
As a general rule, lower grit numbers are more aggressive, while higher grit numbers produce a finer surface finish.
Dry Use Recommended
These Copper Hybrid Polishing Pads are recommended for dry polishing of concrete and terrazzo.
Dry operation allows contractors to easily monitor the scratch pattern and surface condition while avoiding the slurry generated during wet polishing.
For best results, make sure the scratches from the previous grit have been sufficiently removed before moving to the next grit.
