ACE Diamond Tooling Copper Hybrid Polishing Pads are designed as transitional diamond tools between metal bond grinding and resin polishing. They help remove and refine scratches left by metal bond diamond tools, creating a smoother surface before moving into the higher-gloss resin polishing stages.
Available in 4”, 5”, 6”, and 7” sizes, these copper hybrid diamond pads are suitable for professional concrete and terrazzo floor polishing applications.

Transitional Step Between Metal and Resin
After metal bond diamond grinding, the concrete surface typically contains relatively deep scratches that may be difficult to remove efficiently with resin polishing pads alone.
Copper Hybrid Polishing Pads provide an effective transitional step between these two stages:
Metal Bond Grinding → Copper Hybrid Polishing → Resin Polishing
The copper hybrid formulation combines aggressive cutting ability with a progressively finer scratch pattern, helping refine metal-tool scratches before transitioning to resin diamond pads for higher-gloss polishing.
Using the proper transitional tooling can help create a more consistent scratch pattern and improve the efficiency of the subsequent resin polishing steps.
Grit Options: 30–3000
A complete range of grits is available to accommodate different stages of concrete and terrazzo polishing:
30, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, and 3000 grit
Lower grit numbers, such as 30 and 50 grit, provide more aggressive cutting action and are typically used for removing deeper scratches left by previous grinding stages.
Medium grits, such as 100, 200, and 400 grit, progressively refine the surface and reduce visible scratch patterns.
Higher grits, including 800, 1500, and 3000 grit, create increasingly finer finishes and can be used for higher-level surface refinement and polishing.
Dry Use Recommended
These Copper Hybrid Polishing Pads are recommended primarily for dry concrete and terrazzo polishing.
Dry polishing makes it easier for contractors to monitor scratch removal and surface refinement during each polishing step while eliminating the slurry associated with wet polishing.
For best results, move progressively through the appropriate grit sequence and make sure scratches from the previous step have been sufficiently removed before moving to the next grit.
