Double Segment Diamond Tooling Compatible with National Flooring Grinders

The Double Segment Diamond Tooling Compatible with National Flooring Grinders is designed for professional concrete grinding, floor preparation, surface leveling, and removal of surface imperfections. Featuring two durable diamond segments, this metal bond tooling provides a balanced combination of grinding efficiency, stability, and long service life.

Manufactured with premium industrial diamonds and high-quality metal powders, the double segment design provides a larger contact area for stable and consistent grinding. It is an excellent choice for contractors who need reliable diamond tooling for general-purpose concrete floor grinding and surface preparation.

Key Features

  • Compatible with National Flooring Grinders – Designed for use with compatible National Flooring grinding systems.
  • Double Segment Design – Provides stable grinding, consistent diamond contact, and even wear.
  • High Grinding Performance – Engineered for efficient concrete grinding and surface preparation.
  • Long Tool Life – Premium diamond and metal bond formulations provide excellent durability.
  • Wide Grit Selection – Available from coarse grinding through finer surface refinement.
  • Multiple Bond Options – Different bond hardnesses are available to match different concrete hardness levels.
  • Professional Tested Tooling – Tested in real concrete grinding applications by experienced concrete flooring professionals.

Available Grits

Available grits include:

16/20, 16, 20, 30, 30/40, 50, 60/80, 60, 70, 80/100, 80, 100, 100/120, 120, 150, and 200 grit.

Lower grit numbers provide a coarser and more aggressive cut, making them suitable for initial grinding and heavier surface preparation.

Higher grit numbers produce finer scratches and a smoother surface, making them suitable for later grinding stages and preparation before polishing.

Bond Options Based on Concrete Hardness

Choosing the correct bond is essential for achieving fast grinding, consistent diamond exposure, and long tooling life.

The bond refers to the hardness of the metal matrix that holds the diamond particles. The correct bond allows the metal matrix to wear at an appropriate rate so that worn diamonds are released and fresh diamond particles are continuously exposed.

The basic rule is:

Hard Concrete → Soft Bond
Soft Concrete → Hard Bond

On hard concrete, a softer bond helps the metal matrix wear away and continuously expose fresh diamonds. A bond that is too hard may not wear quickly enough, causing the tooling to glaze over and lose cutting efficiency.

On soft or highly abrasive concrete, a harder bond slows down metal wear and helps extend tooling life. A bond that is too soft can wear excessively fast.

ACE Diamond Tooling offers multiple bond options based on concrete hardness. Our color-coded bond system makes it easier to select tooling according to concrete compressive strength (PSI) and Mohs concrete hardness.

Tested by Concrete Grinding Professionals

Our diamond tooling is tested and approved through our affiliate, Custom Concrete Prep & Polish, whose team has more than 10 years of professional experience in concrete grinding, polishing, and surface preparation.

Real-world testing helps us continuously evaluate grinding speed, segment wear, diamond exposure, and overall tooling performance before offering our products to contractors.

Applications

This Double Segment Diamond Tooling is suitable for professional applications including concrete floor grinding, surface preparation, floor leveling, scratch refinement, removal of surface imperfections, and preparation for subsequent polishing steps.

The combination of multiple grit and bond options allows contractors to select the appropriate configuration according to the condition and hardness of the concrete.

FAQs

  1. Do you have expedited shipping?
We are already using the fastest shipping solution available. Our company and customer service team are based in the United States, but to ensure high quality, competitive pricing, and a wide range of options for customers, our products are made-to-order and shipped directly from the factory.
  2. Do I need to pay import duties?
For customers in the United States (except for U.S. island territories), the current price already includes all applicable taxes. For customers in other countries, import duties may apply. If duties are required, the courier company will contact you directly and assist with the payment and processing.
  3. How to measure concrete floor hardness?
Rebound test for PSI hardnessA rebound test (Schmidt Hammer test) is a quick, non-destructive method to estimate the compressive strength (PSI) and surface hardness of a concrete floor.
Scratch test for Mohs scaleThe Mohs hardness test measures how resistant concrete is to scratching by using tools with known hardness levels. A test pick is dragged across the concrete surface, and the scratch is inspected. The highest-numbered pick that can scratch the surface represents the concrete’s surface hardness. Mohs scale ranges from 1 (soft) to 10 (hard).
